Parent Involvement

  • The Southside Campus Advisory Council provides parents and students with answers to the parent involvement survey, a School-Parent Compact, and Title 1 information. We would like parents to read through this information to encourage parent involvement and school/family partnerships at Southside. Teachers have shared this information through their means of communication with parents.

    Title I Parent Involvement Policy 2023 – 2024

At Southside Elementary School, we want each child to have a successful learning experience. We believe that for this to happen, it is important for the school staff, the community, and families to work together. In the
fall, parents are introduced to Southside Elementary and its Schoolwide Title I Program. Parents are informed of the Parent School Compact, the Parent Involvement Policy, the requirements of the Title I program, and
    parents' rights.

A representative group of persons, including the Campus Advisory Committee, PTO members, support staff, principals, other staff and community members joined together to develop this Parent Involvement Policy for
Southside Elementary School. In order to build a dynamic home-school partnership, Southside Elementary will make sure the following occurs. Parents will have opportunities to be actively involved in their child's education and understand the state's academic content standards through a variety of activities and strategies such as:

    • Open House

    • Character Counts Crew
    • Social Media: Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram

    1. the qualifications of their child's teachers and
