Staff Development
- Provide staff development to achieve all educational and instructional goals
- Instructional Coaches assist teachers with implementation and provide ongoing support
- Use key lead teachers in district training Curriculum
- Utilize curriculum snapshots and resources that provide targeted TEKS-focused instructional lessons
- Convene weekly department meetings with teachers focusing on upcoming curriculum lessons, instructional strategies, and/or any student concerns
- Implement online curriculum resources
- Facilitate implementation of TEKS (learning standards)
Instructional Practices
- Provide data analysis reports for teachers and administrators on student and campus progress
- Analyze test questions to facilitate discussion with teachers on instructional strategies for each state-required TEKS and objective
- Collaborate with campus staff to create intervention plans
- Support and coordinate all student assessments (benchmarks, simulations and state assessments), data analysis, TEA requirements and training Teacher Coaching & Mentoring
- Teacher Mentors provide support and model lessons for new teachers, teachers new to Angleton ISD and teachers with specific student needs
- Instructional Coaches conduct subject-specific Prep Clinics and provide meaningful feedback on instructional practices
- Instructional Coaches collaborate with teachers on the implementation of best- teaching practices to improve student performance
